So, funny story, I was chilling in the union room today at my college before my last class of the day after five hours of classes up to that point. I was minding my own business drawing a picture of Hannah while watching a playthrough of Bioshock 1, to which the person playing was beating people with a wrench, when I suddenly see someone walk over to my chair. Oddly enough, it was a little boy no older than four, on his own, saying something to me. I was able to swivel the table my laptop was on away from him without drawing much attention to what I had been listening to. When I listened to what he said, it sounded a little off and I asked him to repeat it. Low and behold, I had heard correctly. The only thing he told me at first was, "I snuck away from my mom," with a grin almost as if he'd just won a gold metal for an Olympic event. I honestly had no idea what to say back to that, but probably ended up saying something along the lines of, "Oh really? How'd you manage to do that?" He just grinned up at me with that adorable little baby face all kids seem to have when they want to look like angels without a response. I was mentally debating how to figure out who his mother was or what to do if she couldn't be found, since I had to leave for class soon, when she came around the corner of the printer and called his name. When he didn't respond, still just giving me a smile, she told him to stop flirting with me and leave me alone. He then danced off to his mom, not breaking eye contact with me until he was beside her. When they finally left, I laughed pretty hard. I couldn't believe this kid just wanted to randomly talk to me and even started off by telling me how he snuck away from his mother.
It was absolutely adorable.
My story telling skills, or lack there of, probably aren't making it sound as cute as it was, but that kid made my day.

In other news, Angels Ascended auditions have officially begun! This is my first OCT judging (or participating in), but I'm already super excited to see what everyone comes up with and where they go with their different characters. I'll be posting things of Hannah and Neal on this account as well, but if anyone wants to see the other account I've made for them for some reason, here it is: archangelhanael.deviantart.com…

In other, other news, now that I don't have an art class I'll probably get more art work done... in theory. So hope for more submissions, though I tend to say that an awful lot. I promise there are a ton of things I want to submit, but I never want to go through the submission process by the time I get around to remembering all the things in my sketchbook waiting to be uploaded. I also have to say, gray paper is magic. Just simply magic.

Happy New Year!

2 min read
I've not yet put one of these up because of some life issues going on, which is also why if you comment on anything I haven't replied yet I'm so sorry. But I'll get to that later.

I hope everyone's 2013 was good and that 2014 will be even better for you all! Thank you for all the support during the last year and I hope to put up more art for anyone following my lazily updated account. There's a number of things I need to post but just haven't gotten around to it, plus, right on time, my style's changing a bit again. It seems like January is the one time of year that my art either improves or gets worse. Let's hope this year is for the better! I'll also be getting a side account in the next week or two for judging and OCT, which I've never done before but am happy to give it a go. The link for that will be posted if anyone wants it as soon as I get that account functioning.

So, as far as personal problems go: I'm terribly sorry if I just stop responding to messages. I don't like to be in a bad state of mind when I reply to people, so it may take a bit for me to get to those. A huge surgery is coming for a family member of mine, so it's pretty tense over here. Emotional strain is quite a bit harder to deal with than physical pain, which is just where I'm at now, plus nightmares every night don't help at all... thus being, I may be a fair bit absent.

Regardless of my issues, I hope you all have a great new year!

“Do all the good you can. By all the means you can. In all the ways you can. In all the places you can. At all the times you can. To all the people you can. As long as ever you can.”

On the terms of life, one college semester is now finished, and I believe I passes with high marks! Which is good considering the rest of this weekend's going to be crazy stressful. Merry Christmas to all!

God of Mischief

2 min read
So, to clarify something from my last journal, I don't hate everyone in the Union Room at my school. I just was a bit annoyed after telling people that I had a ton of homework, they ignored that fact...

ANYWHO

Today has been a lovely day. :iconsaerif: and I went out to shop and see a movie as a get-together/early-birthday trip and it was really great~ We saw Thor 2, WHICH WAS BEYOND GREAT OHMYGOSH. I laughed so hard I almost cried, was terribly tense, and now I'm looking forward to the next movie. If people don't like Loki going into this movie, they'll love him by the time they finish the film. Everyone did wonderfully for it, but Loki was probably the most memorable (for me at least). Stan Lee's cameo in Thor 2 was also absolutely priceless. We also were there with some other great people that were pretty polite, so that was great. I don't want to say too much for those who haven't seen it, but it was a FABULOUS movie. I'm now the proud owner of a Loki and a Charmander t-shirt :D I need some nerdy shirts, so this is a wonderful start~ There were also heartless gloves, which were really, really cute.

Well, onto studying tomorrow for my exam monday... Soooo nervous... There will never be too much studying for that test, I'm not too confident...
